Bespoke Outdoor Sauna Installation : HOLLAND PARK, LONDON
A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF USING EXISTING SPACE EFFICIENTLY
Our first outdoor sauna was built in this house in Holland Park owned by a German banker whose main residence is in Switzerland. An avid sauna enthusiast, he has saunas in all of his houses so he knew exactly what he wanted, the only problem was where to locate the sauna as the town house was fully extended before we turned up.
The only place we could install the sauna was in an existing garden shed being used for storage. We kept the roof of the shed but reclad the shed with ready painted black cladding and a new door / window.
MATERIALS:
The sauna is clad in Thermo Aspen, a premium sauna wood cladding timber known for its rich, golden-brown hue and pleasant, toasted aroma. Enhanced through a natural thermal treatment involving heat and steam, thermo aspen is as durable as it is beautiful. The cladding has been installed horizontally, adding a sense of spaciousness to the room. The glass front and door connecting the sauna to the shower amplify the sense of openness.

HUUM CLIFF Wi-Fi Sauna Heater:
The heater used was a HUUM CLIFF heater with Wi-Fi connectivity.
CLIFF electric sauna heater has a stunning natural stone surface that reflects the nature of Nordic cliffs. But what sets this sauna heater apart is not only its eye-catching appearance but also its efficient and environmentally conscious design. The body of the heater is made from cutouts of a stainless steel sheet created during the production of STEEL electric heaters, which eliminates metal waste and ensures full use of all material.
The heater has small safety distances and a slim shape, making it suitable for smaller sauna rooms. The internal air tunnel accelerates heating by 25% and extends the life of the heating elements. With a large amount of stones, the CLIFF heater provides mild and long-lasting steam, ensuring a relaxing sauna experience. In 2021 the CLIFF heater won the RedDot Award for product design.
