MINIMAL DISRUPTION SAUNA INSTALLATION

In Queens Park, London, we carried out a fast installation of a compact sauna within a garden shed, showing how smaller outdoor structures can be adapted quickly and efficiently. The project focused on practicality, ease of use, and a clean, modern finish.
​
The sauna was built with a solid insulated frame, clad internally in high-quality sauna timber, and fitted with floating benches to keep the floor area clear. A clear glass door was installed to maintain a sense of openness, while concealed LED strip lighting adds warmth and definition to the interior.
MATERIALS
​
The interior is clad in durable sauna timber, selected for its smooth texture, stability, and ability to withstand high temperatures. Its natural tone brings a bright and inviting look to the compact space.

The clear glass door ensures light flows freely, making the sauna feel less enclosed while complementing the straightforward, minimalist style of the installation.

FACILITIES​
​
The layout uses a 1+1 bench arrangement, consisting of a lower and an upper bench. This simple configuration is space-efficient while still offering flexibility for seating and reclining.
​
Concealed LED strip lighting highlights the natural colour of the timber, giving the sauna a warm, balanced atmosphere without the need for visible fittings.

HEATER
​
The sauna is powered by a Harvia The Wall 4.5 kW heater, a slim and compact unit designed specifically for smaller saunas. Despite its minimal footprint, it delivers reliable, even heat for comfortable use.
​
The heater’s built-in controller provides straightforward operation, making the sauna simple and convenient to run.
