A compact sauna built using sturdy weathered timber frame and long lasting roof , the Legna offers the benefits and enjoyment of an outdoor sauna in gardens of all sizes. The interior of  sauna is made from aspen or alder, which offers exceptional build quality and clean modern appearance. This small sauna is compact and can be installed in practically any outdoor space and with its wood-fired heater saunas provide a traditional Finnish experience characterized by intense heat, natural steam (Löyly), and the atmospheric crackle of burning wood. Popular models include circular barrel saunas for efficient heat circulation and garden cabin saunas that offer more internal space.

Our Legna wood-fired outdoor saunas offer a combination of traditional sensory experiences and unique practical advantages, such as off-grid independence and a distinct quality of "soft" radiant heat and an authentic, ritualistic atmosphere, which electric models often struggle to replicate. While all saunas share core health benefits, the Legna wood-fired units offer subtle physiological advantages due to their heating mechanism.

 

Because they require no electricity, these saunas are ideal for remote gardens, rural properties, or off grid locations where running a high-voltage power line would be prohibitively expensive, and these wood burning saunas can typically reach higher maximum temperatures (90°C–100°C+) than many residential electric heaters. The wood burning stoves usually hold a significantly larger volume of stones (80–120kg vs. 20–40kg for electric), meaning they retain heat for hours after the fire has gone out, making them superior for long social sessions.

​The interior finish option available for this sauna is ASPEN / ALDER clad sauna with matching bench timber, and the package is complete with a 'HARVIA M3' wood fired heater with 'stainless steel or black chimney', and LED interior light with diffuser.

*Please note that these saunas are built from scratch on site, so the best time for installation is in dry weather. Also we would need the sauna base in concrete already cast on site before we start work. Tiling the sauna floor is included, the clients have to supply the tiles of their choice.
